The Top Five Worries for Brides on their Wedding Day
After planning your wedding day since birth, it’s a pretty big deal when the day finally arrives, and obviously, it has to run smoothly and exactly the same way as you’ve always imagined. And yes, we always know that there MAY be some inherent issues… So what are the real worries brides have when it comes to their special day? Hitched.co.uk (A fabulous wedding planning site) conducted research which involved 2,000 brides and came back with these Top 5 results:
The dreaded wedding photos
A whopping 69% of brides to be worried about their forever photos, it seems that they cared more about how it looks on social media more than wondering if they’ll be jolted at the aisle! It’s pretty normal to think when the love of your life proposes it’s because they’re actually going to show up though, right?
Does my butt look big in this?
It’s not as though you’ve ordered 9000 items on ASOS for next day delivery, and you can just return the things that don’t fit anymore a day before the day. The wedding dress, that beautiful money stealing dress. 59% of brides to be worried about their weight on the day, and is it any wonder when you pick your dress so much in advance that you have to maintain that weight?!

We check the weather every single day in the UK. And it’s more common than not when you’ve read your iPhone weather and it says sunny 50 degrees, and it ends up being –6 with gales to the east and random torrential pour downs. 57% of brides to be worried about the weather affecting their day, completely understandable. If we worry about it on an average day, it’s going to be an issue on the biggest day of our lives.
We’re only eating bread for the next 10 years kind of wedding.
We’ve all been to those kinds of weddings… The weddings with unlimited a ‘la carte food and fancy cocktails, with table decorations as high as the sky. Weddings have upped their game as the years have gone by, so naturally being on social media… And becoming these competitive Olympians in the sport of wedding making we want OUR special day to be the most spectacular day anyone has ever seen. So it’s no surprise that number 4 comes in at 53% of brides wanting to have enough money to make all the bells and whistles happen.

I’m not sure how many times we’ve all had a ‘professional’ make-up artist make us look more like a K I S S fan more than the golden goddess of glow we actually enquired about. The combination skins of hell, SULAS ladies, SULAS, the black eye grub, lipstick tooth… Do we have to go on? 50% of brides to be worried about their hair and make-up on the day. How do you make it stay like that for 24 hours?!
